This policy on the processing of personal data (“Privacy Policy”) describes how HJHansen Recycling Group, including HJHansen Recycling, HJHansen Bildemontering, HJHansen Nedbrydning, HJHansen Wind Decom and Skrotspecialisten, hereinafter referred to as “HJHansen Recycling Group”, “us”, “our”, or “we”, collects and processes information about you.

The Privacy Policy applies to the personal data that you provide to us in connection with a transaction with HJHansen Recycling Group, or which we collect via www.hjhansen.dk.

HJHansen Recycling Group is the data controller for your personal data. All inquiries to HJHansen Recycling Group can be made via the contact details provided under section 7.

What personal data we collect, the purposes of the processing and the legal basis

2.1

When you visit www.hjhansen.dk, we automatically collect information about you and your use of the website, for example which type of browser you use, which search terms you use on the website, your IP address, including your network location, and information about your computer.

2.1.1

The purpose is to optimise the user experience on the website.

2.1.2

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6, paragraph 1, point (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.2

When you sell your scrap to us, we collect the following information which you provide yourself: name, address, telephone number, vehicle registration number, bank account number and email address. By completing the form for the delivery of scrap, you grant HJHansen Recycling Group the right to use your personal data for reporting to the Danish Tax Agency.

2.2.1

Your information will be used for settlement of the delivered scrap.
HJHansen Recycling Group is required to store this information for five years due to reporting obligations to the Danish Tax Agency.

2.2.2

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6, paragraph 1, points (b), (c) and (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.3

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect information about your name, email address, language preference and company.

2.3.1

The purpose is to pursue our legitimate interest in providing newsletters to you.

2.3.2

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6, paragraph 1, point (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.3

When you visit one of HJHansen Recycling Group’s or Skrotspecialisten’s pages on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, your personal data is processed in accordance with the respective platforms’ privacy and cookie policies. If you contact us via these platforms or participate in one of our competitions, HJHansen Recycling Group will process information about your name and your post.

2.3.1

The purpose of HJHansen Recycling Group’s processing of your personal data is to respond to your inquiry and to allow you to participate in the competition and contact you if you win.

2.3.2

The legal basis for this processing is HJHansen Recycling Group’s legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry, allowing you to participate in the competition, and contacting you if you win, cf. Article 6, paragraph 1, point (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.4

When you visit one of HJHansen Recycling Group’s sites, CCTV surveillance may be in operation. If this is the case, signage with a pictogram (showing an image of a camera) will be displayed in a visible place at the entrance to the site. Recordings will be reviewed in the event of random checks, specific suspicions, or other irregularities and may be disclosed to the police if there is suspicion of a criminal offence.

2.4.1

The purpose of CCTV surveillance is to enable HJHansen Recycling Group to prevent, detect and document criminal offences in relation to both customers and staff (robbery, shoplifting, assault, fraud, etc.), and to create safety and security for employees (robbery, assault and disputes regarding payments).

2.4.2

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6, paragraph 1, point (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as HJHansen Recycling Group has a legitimate interest in preventing the types of crime mentioned in section 2.4.1 at our sites.

Recipients of personal data

3.1

Personal information provided in connection with payments from Skrotspecialisten is stored by HJHansen Recycling Group for five years due to reporting obligations to the Danish Tax Agency.

3.2

Recordings from CCTV surveillance at our sites may be disclosed to the police as part of investigations of specific cases involving criminal offences.

3.3

Information may be disclosed to external partners who process the information on our behalf. We use external partners for, among other things, technical operation of systems, improvements to www.hjhansen.dk and distribution of newsletters. These companies are data processors and operate under our instructions and process data for which we are the data controller. The data processors may not use the information for purposes other than fulfilling their agreement with us and are bound by confidentiality.

Your rights

4.1

In order to ensure transparency regarding the processing of your information, we, as data controller, must inform you of your rights.

4.2

Right of access

4.2.1

You are at any time entitled to request information about which data we have registered about you, the purpose of the registration, which categories of personal data and recipients of information there may be, and information about the origin of the information.

4.2.2

You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we process about you. If you wish to receive a copy of your personal data, you must submit a written request to info@hjhansen.dk. You will be asked to document that you are the person you claim to be.

4.3

Right to rectification

4.3.1

You have the right to have incorrect personal data about you corrected by us. If you become aware that the information we have registered about you is incorrect, you are encouraged to contact us in writing so the information can be corrected. You will be asked to document that you are the person you claim to be.

4.4

Right to erasure

4.4.1

In certain cases, you have the right to have all or some of your personal data deleted, for example if you withdraw your consent and we do not have another legal basis for continuing the processing. To the extent that continued processing of your information is necessary, for example to comply with our legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, we are not obliged to delete your personal data. You will be asked to document that you are the person you claim to be.

4.5

Right to restriction of processing

4.5.1

In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data so that it only consists of storage, for example if you believe that the information we process about you is incorrect.

4.6

Right to data portability

4.6.1

In certain cases, you have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit that data to another data controller.

4.7

Right to object

4.7.1

You have the right at any time to object to our processing of your personal data. If you do not wish us to use your personal data for direct marketing and profiling, you must delete your cookies as described in section 5.1 below.

4.8

Right to withdraw consent

4.8.1

You have the right at any time to withdraw any consent you have given us for the processing of personal data, including the sending of newsletters. If you wish to withdraw your consent, please contact info@hjhansen.dk.

4.9

Right to lodge a complaint

4.9.1

You have the right at any time to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Borgergade 28, 5, 1300 Copenhagen K, regarding our processing of your personal data. Complaints can be submitted by email to dt@datatilsynet.dk or by telephone at +45 33 19 32 00

Deletion of personal data

5.1

Information collected about your use of www.hjhansen.dk pursuant to section 2.1 is deleted in accordance with the rules set out in HJHansen Recycling Group’s Cookie Policy. Cookies provided by us are deleted no later than one year after your last visit to the site, while third-party cookies have varying expiration periods. The specific expiration periods are listed in HJHansen Recycling Group’s Cookie Policy, where you can also read more about how you can delete your cookies yourself if you wish.

5.2

Information collected in connection with the settlement of scrap delivered to Skrotspecialisten is stored for five years due to reporting obligations to the Danish Tax Agency.

5.3

Information collected in connection with your subscription to our newsletter in accordance with section 2.2 is deleted when your consent to receive newsletters is withdrawn, unless we have another legal basis for processing the information.

5.4

Information obtained from CCTV surveillance will automatically be deleted no later than 30 days after the recording took place, unless the information forms part of the investigation of a specific case. If your information forms part of the investigation of a specific case, it will be deleted when the case is closed and the purpose of the processing no longer exists.

5.5

Information you provide on HJHansen Recycling Group’s or Skrotspecialisten’s Facebook pages will generally remain on the Facebook page as part of the page’s history. You can delete your information on the page yourself whenever you wish. Information we process about you as a result of your participation in competitions, and which is copied into HJHansen Recycling Group’s own systems in this connection, will be deleted once the matter has been completed.

Security

6.1

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures to ensure that personal data is not accidentally or unlawfully destroyed, lost, altered or degraded and that it does not come to the attention of unauthorised persons or is otherwise misused.

6.2

Only employees who have a genuine need to access your personal data in order to perform their work have access to the information. These employees are instructed on how personal data must be handled securely.
